Thanks for the welcome; You folks sure are friendly.
Hope I can keep up on the trail. I'm kinda new to this type of work.

Welcome David, hope you get as much (or more!) out of the Cattle Drive as the rest of us have. It's a great experience, despite the nitpickers

Welcome David,
I see you are down here on Java-1 with me. Too bad you didn't beat my 4 attempts at Java-1a. You must try to catch me for Java-1b, for that I only needed three attempts. The best way to cope with the nitpickers is to write programs that confuse and baffle them, get them scratching their own heads wondering why they ever got into this thing. If you need any hints or help with that just ask.

P.S. Marilyn, I promise I will try to behave for Java-2, and come up with something rational.

I was once shown a website called "How to write unmaintainable code".
It's at http://mindprod.com/unmain.html
And it starts "Never ascribe to malice, that which can be explained by incompetence."
Go on. (Go arn. Go arn - to quote another ) Have a laugh. You know you want to.
Dave..
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
