Are parameters the same variable or are they a new one?

for example in class 1 I have

and in class 2 I have

does class2 hold the same variable passed from class1 or has it made a copy?

The parameters you pass to a method are in the case of primitve types copies of their original value.
In the object world you work on the very same instance. You get a new copy of the reference variable, but it still references the very same object instance.
