Can you tell me what causes the opening of a MIDlet to take too long
when using NetBeans 6.5.1 debugger?
I tried to start debugging my MIDlet program
but it seems that wherever the breakpoint is,
the program does the things it is supposed to do before a target breakpoint
but after that the Nokia emulator just keeps opening the program
and certain debugging breakpoint cannot be reached.

By the way, how sensitive Java (SE/ME) is about using static object reference variables?
What is the right time to introduce static object type variables?
One possibility is to explicitly define static variables in a normal object constructor
just once during the lifetime of the class in question.
I know using the 'static' block is one option as well.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,
