nonstandard frameworks on scea part 2 (?)

Could I use for example hibernate rather than JPA on the SCEA part 2 or some else framework nonstandard ? It could be regarded as a framework?

I think you're poking a bear when you go into a Sun exam and recommend a non-Sun framework. I wouldn't recommend using .NET on Sun's Certification Exam either, although it might be a valid solution.

Do you need to actually specify a JPA implementation? Isn't the point of architecting a JEE solution the fact that the client can implement it using and provider they chose?

Police often find that the crooks are the ones that say too much. Say what you need to say, but don't say too much - it can make you look like an emperor with no clothes. :P

Perhaps I'm wrong though. Do you think it's a requirement to specify a JPA implementation?

I do not really want to use .NET we are talking about JAVA-BASED FRAMEWORKS , so when I 've mentioned another framework i want to say a framework like hibernate as you can see hibernate is a java framework, and i preffer hibernate than JPA, even they are very similar in many points. About your question "Do you think it's a requirement to specify a JPA implementation?
" that is the point that i have had doubt, Can use hibernate , spring on the project?

You are very funny Mckenzie, but i want to be naked only with my girlfriend.

Remember, JPA is part of the EJB3 specification. So, not using JPA is a pretty bold assertion that you're not happy with Sun's progress on data persistence. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that it might not be exactly what Sun is looking for. I think that they are expecting you to demonstrate where in a JEE architecture that JPA is an appropriate solution.

Sometimes you gotta mitigate risk on these exams. I think introducing Hibernate where you could use JPA is risky.

Your point of view makes sense, because Sun doesn't want to know if you know hibernate or some other java framework, they wanna know if you have java ee knownledge, but hibernate it is entirely made by java plataform, then it could be a solution for a persistence tier on my architectural design. I'd have to ask Sun about it, but if is mandatory we have to follow the roles.
