Could I use for example hibernate rather than JPA on the SCEA part 2 or some else framework nonstandard ? It could be regarded as a framework?

Do you need to actually specify a JPA implementation? Isn't the point of architecting a JEE solution the fact that the client can implement it using and provider they chose?
