Now we have enabled OS authentication in Oracle so OS user can log into the database without giving any credentials.

Am using oci driver and i do not know what to do with JAAS authetication username and password in the JAAS alias to filed is must
Please help me

Hi,

Are your websphere and Database running on same machine ?

You can use local OS user names only to use Websphere for OS Authenitcation.

Yes Both App and DB are on the same machine.
When you connect to oracle database from websphere we do use jdbc thin driver and also we need to pass database login credentials. But here we do not want to pass the login credentials to log into oracle so we are trying to use oci driver instead of thin. But we do not know what all changes need to done in websphere side .
I can log into oracle database from the machine as os user ( sqlplus / ) it wont ask usernamer and password, like this i want to connect to oracle from websphere using os authentication.

Please help ASAP
