Temporary signing during development

Hi,

I am having Fileconnection issue when i test the j2me application into Nokia device.So I am planning to sign application and get certificate from verisign or thwate.
before that i want to confirm is there any way, to get test account so i can test application while development .
or is there any easy way to sign the code to get certificate temporary.

Which nokia phone you are using for testing purpose. If it belong to series 60 2nd edition, then you can install self created certificate on your phone and sign your application using that cert.

Or you can get certificate based on imei number of your phone for testing purpose. For this read this web page.

Thanks for your reply,I tried the process to get certificate from symbian.But while uploading the .csr file its tellling:

Open Signed Offline/Developer Certificates are only available to users with a Publisher ID.

is this id is mandatory to get certification or how can i get this id free of cost?.
