Please provide a descriptive subject line.

The body of your post is phrased like a google search. Perhaps because it is one. Did you try to google this subject ?

Priyanka,
Welcome to the Ranch.

I have closed the same question which you had posted in the Servlets forum. Please choose a proper forum and do not post the same question in multiple places.
More information here

Coming back to your question. Please take efforts to frame your thoughts in proper English.
Method and function mean the same. So there is no difference.

HI Priyanka,

functions in C++ are one which can be written inside a class or even outside a class. but

In java we make use of methods which has to be written inside a class and had to be invoked by creating an instance of that class.

The real difference is that "function" is not a word usually used in Java. It is used in other languages, however.

Priyanka tell me what is the differene b/w function and method. Then may be I can explain it to you.
You won't be able to answer in Java's context as there is no function in here as Campbell Ritchie told.
From another language context both are same.
