What is the connection between Lucene and the JSP pages? Are you trying to index the HTML that gets generated by the JSP pages? If so, then check the src/demo directory of the Lucene distribution - it contains an example of how to index HTML. You may wish to substitute a more capable and/or discerning HTML parser like NekoHTML instead of the one used in the example.

If you meant something else, tell us in detail what the problem is.

After looking at its source code, what do you think it does?

what is the input for root_directory ?

You should work through the various "demo*.html" pages that come with Lucene. demo3.html in particular talks about that example.

Just give me the URL from where you are suggesting demo3.html

It's on the "docs" directory of the Lucene distribution. It's generally a good idea to read the documentation of a library one intends to work with, and especially so if one encounters problems.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
