hi everybody, my name is chaitanya. i installed tomcat 4.1. i have a war file with me. hoe can i deploy it? i logged into tomcat administration but i found nothing. i am unable to deploy my war file. please help me in this regards.

Look at http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-4.1-doc/html-manager-howto.html. Please note that Tomcat 4.0.x and 4.1.x are no longer supported

Drop your .war file in tomcatInstallation/webapps directory , and start the Tomcat server, this will automatically creates a context and necessary directories.
