Hi,
I am going to start a new work ie on building a java bulk mailer,I already run a demo and its working.I want to know how we can add spam filtering rules and other standard set of rules and protocols to my mailer so that the outgoing mail will not be treated as spam by spam filters.

I know this filtering does not apply if I am developing only a bulk mailer, but ....If any one please help me on this?

Also how to check whether an email id is valid or not?

The best way not to have an email treated as spam is for it not to *be* spam. What kind of mail are you talking about that you're worried it might be considered spam?

As to checking the validity of an email address, that's not really possible. The best you can do is to send the mail, and then treat bounces accordingly (by scanning them for certain text that indicates that the address is not valid).

One thing to keep in mind (among others):
Make sure that the domain name in FROM part of email (i.e spam.com in spammer@spam.com) matches the MX records of spam.com domain. This is because many mail servers upon receiving the mail will do a reverse domain lookup to check if the mail indeed originated from where it claims to be originating(spam.com).

Dont think there is any way, other than actually sending the mail!

Spamming is not a good idea.
