What a cynical bunch. Aren't there any cigar aficionados here who can explain about the terroir or whatever it is with cigar production?

I'm not cynical...I'm a skeptic. Everyone SAYS cuban cigars are better, but nobody has presented any EVIDENCE. and by that, i mean a properly controlled double blind study.

You can't give someone a cigar, tell them it's a cuban, and expect them to be unbiased. it simply cannot happen.

Yeah, yeah, I know all of that. It's the same with wine but that doesn't stop people from blathering on about it. I was just encouraging the blatherers.

this is not because of their smell or marketing because they are fame. cuban cigar are hand rolled cigar. made of 100% tobacco. if you want to know more about them google Cohiba cigars...

Its just marketing type. Its like saying Champagne is not Champagne unless it comes from the province of Champania.
Montecriso makes cuban cigars too. Ive had Montecristos grown from tobacco in Central America and tobacco in Cuba and you cant tell the difference.
Also if you are in the US I would not try to order Cuban cigars from Switzerland (from the link posted above) that is still violating the embargo.
