This week's book giveaway is in the Agile and Other Processes forum. We're giving away four copies of Real-World Software Development: A Project-Driven Guide to Fundamentals in Java and have Dr. Raoul-Gabriel Urma & Richard Warburton on-line! See this thread for details.
SCJP exam is at EE6. I don't know when Sun is going to phase out SCEA EE5 version.
I have successfully completed Part 1 of SCEA EE5.
I need to know how much time I have to complete Part 2 and 3 of the exam before Sun phases out this current EE5 version of the exam?
I know that the Assignment (Part 2) is not marked for evaluation until Part 3 is taken.
Assume, I have uploaded Part 2 and I have completed Part 3 today,
How many days does it take for Sun to evaluate and publish results for Part 2 from the date Part 3 is taken?
Please let me know if my questions are not clear.
In the certification manager, it says SCEA-current version is planned for retirement in 3 months. (See attached Image)
So my Part 2 evaluation.. Part 2 resubmission if need be and evaluation have all got to be completed in 3 months.. by December 2009??
875 US Dollars (3 Parts of SCEA) and 9 months of effort is at stake
What URL are you looking at that you're seeing this?
Personally, I think you're worrying about nothing, and I suspect you're mis-reading the coloring on the page. Sun's not likely to 'phase out' the SCEA for Java EE 5 any time soon. Look how long it took them to phase out the original.

Ok. Here is is how I got confused:
Typed "www.certmanager.net/sun/" on the browser
It takes me to I7 database.
Log in with the credentials and I see a screen (Screen shot attached) with messages on select exams that will be retired in 90 days.
Please refer to the screen shot attached.
