How to get just head tag html data via apache httpclient

I wanted to get just data in html head tag via apache httpclient.

I know I can get the whole response and parse to get content between head tags but I wanted to see if there is a way just to consume that much data from the server instead of loading the whole data and then parsing...

What I want is,
1. I want to open connection
2. Start reading data may be line by line
3. Look for end of head tag
4. terminate the connection
5. return the data accumulated for head tag

I looked in BasicResponseHandler class etc but not able to get a clue nor googling helped.
