can anyone explain when VBscript should be used in web based application??

I have java servlet based web application,in JSP ,only Java script is used,but in some scenario,forced to used to VB script,

can anyone explain when VBscript should be used in web based application??

Personally, I'd say: never. VBScript limits you to one particular browser (IE) on one particular operating system (Windows). That's really not what web applications are all about. If you find yourself forced to work around a browser/JavaScript limitation, you might consider a signed applet as an alternative. That requires a JRE to be installed (which most machines have, as long as the applet works in Java 5), and it keeps the application browser- and OS-independent.

What requirement forces you to use VBScript?
