This has really been nagging me.

i wanted to know... (since there are no stupid questions!)

How do you know when a java bean already exists or doesnt exist?

There are lot of statement like the set property of bean will work if the bean does not exist ie. It doesn't replace old values...
And then... type property can work alone if attribute already exists..
So how do i really find out...
