Can I skip rows when I use the display table tag ?

I have a collection of data rows that I am using to create a table using the following tag :
<display:table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" id="row" name="command.dataRows" export="true" requestURI="the.controller" pagesize="20" style="width:670px;">
Name="command.dataRows" refers to an
of objects, each of which is displayed in a row of the table.
My question is this, is there a way I can incorporate an if statement to skip some rows based on a data condition ?
for example, if row.dataSelected='false' then skip that row.
