hi,

I would like to know where to write the JSP functions? is it scriptlets or in declaration?

what happens if it is declaration and what is wrong in putting functions on scriplets?

as far as i know, script code will go into service method of servlet after compilation...and what ever is given in declaration will be created as Servlet instance variable...

let me know if i am going wrong some where.

Regards,
anu

Neither -- scriptlets and declarations should no longer be used in JSPs.

Research how to use the JSTL and EL, and then you will be able to write EL functions.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
