Hello
Can one model the details of a method in UML or is there another tool to achieve that. i.e. to create a flowchart for a specific method?

You can use Interaction Diagrams like sequence diagrams, communication diagrams.

Frankly, if a method is so complex that you feel the urge to depict it in UML, your best bet is to split it into several smaller methods.

You can also use Activity Diagrams. But no need to model every method using Activity Diagrams unless you're doing Executable UML (xUML).

Thanks Kengkaj and Ilja.
Good point Ilja. I had a feeling I should be splitting my longer methods so it's nice to hear it from the experts.
