Hi!

I'm developing a web application and I'm following the development & deployment structure given in the HFSJSP book. If I've to include database into my simple web application, where should that go? For eg, consider using Java DB database. At this moment, while deploying, I thought to keep the derby.jar in WEB-INF/lib. I don't know where to keep the database. Could anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

Hi Faisal ,

we keep the databases out of EAR or deployment structure. Database is the independent entity which should be used using jdbc.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
