Is there a simple way to do JDK 5 enumerations in Hibernate?

Hey all,

I'm getting a personal project started to catalog all of my DVDs and Blu-Rays, as a way to learn Hibernate and some of the more J2EE APIs. I have some persistent objects that would make much more sense as enums, but after searching the web and the forums, none of the solutions seem like they use basic Java enumerations (i.e., using the enum keyword). So, is something like this possible in Hibernate 3.2?:
