Why not call it StartUp?

Not just because you're a startup yourself but because you help others get going with IT and you fix broken things, etcetera.

I thought the name "Satyam" was available or could possibly be purchased, but it appears someone is still using it.

I have some very good suggestions for services/product companies:
1. Microsoft
2. IBM
3. Yahoo
4. Google

Aren't these good? I mean if I start a new company I would start google. I can suggest a couple of more.

This was heavily influenced from Wodehouse (A new actress looking a good name for her to use in show business - She comes up with Greta Garbo. But it's already taken. )

of course, but we need it really.
Since, the Organization is IT Services, Ranchers(Technical persons) are the right people to name it.
Good/Nice names are appreciated.

Thank you Soumil Shah for your suggestion.

  • TechParadigm - Sounds too much like management buzzwords.
  • Genesis - Too religious. And makes me think of Phil Collins.
  • nPillars, nBricks - Pillars or bricks? Sounds more like a company that constructs buildings. And what's the "n" supposed to mean?
  • Tech Cloud - Cloud computing is a hot thing at the moment, but the word might disappear in a few years. Only use this if your company actually sells cloud computing related services or products.
  • Quartz Technologies/Solutions - Sounds like a company that manufactures watches.
  • Agile Technologies/Solutions - Everybody is using the agile method already, this isn't original.
  • Extreme Technologies/Solutions - Meh. Extreme what? Extremely bad? Extremely expensive?
  • TechFarms - Are you going to lock up your developers in a big farm and let them breed code?
  • 1≠2 - Sounds flashy and hip.
  • Decisive Solutions - Hmmm. What's so "decisive" about your solutions?
  • Ellipsis Technologies - I don't know what to say...
  • Great Minds - Not that bad, actually.

Um, I'm sure you have thought of it ofcourse, but allow me to just say this. You did think of the website, didn't you? Pretty much all the words and 2 word phrases that make sense in English language have been taken up by cyber-sqatters. You would want your genesis.com or agile.com, but it wouldn't be available.

    Bad, bad cyber-squatters

yes, but first we are giving priority to the Organization's name, then we will think about the website.

    Hello M K Rayapudi,

Whatever name you come up with should include IT services so that the spiders can find your website a lot easier. Not to say that you couldn't use IT services in your punch line as well, because as long as it's in the title or punch line it will be noticed online a lot easier. Just an FYI to get high search engine results.

If he still hasn't thought of a name after the 3.5 years since he started this thread, he probably won't be able to keep up with the pace the tech sector anyway.

What's in the name..don't waste your time in naming, better concentrate on growth. Flashy/techie/smart names won't make your company big.

Surely a marketing or sales forum could provide a better answer.
As for a name , maybe some name involving the city you will providing services in , or some cultural think that appeals to your customers could be the most efficient.

    For example BerlinIT and such.
