Hi All,

Can some one guide me as to what is the eligibility for L1 visas for US (the one that is applicable for a software developer, not managers)?

My company's guideline says that if one has not graduated in an engineering stream related to IT he/she has to have an work experience of 69 months whereas one who has done that requires only 39 months of work experience.

Is this a company policy or is this a requirement set by US government?

Kindly guide as I need to discuss my overseas project allocation with my company.

Regards

It's not US law. There are no L experience requirements, beyond being employed by the company for at least 12 months outside the US.

Cheers!

Thanks Luke for the quick response. Now am going to my employer to get my L1 initiated.
