I need to pass a parameter form a small swing application to generate a report
which uses a 'where' clause. So what I did was this.

From the java side:

I'm using iReport as my Jasper report designer, in there I have specified
a parameter and when I insert my sql query it gives me an error

Screen cast

So how do I specify a parameter in a correct way,and also want to know if there's a error in my query
please help me.

Thanks.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
