What is the difference between JDK and SDK? I see these two terms being used.

SDK means "software development kit". JDK means "Java development kit" which is an SDK which develops Java. The official name appears to be JDK but lots of people say SDK too.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
