Desktop based application for search in windows.

Hi All,

I want to build a desktop based application which can search files/folders in windows and also which can provide suggestions to the user when user starts typing something. I would like to know that which language will be good for this and if anybody can provide me any articles or book suggestions for this?

Google and Microsoft already have such products in the market. They are based on indexing of resources. May be you can get the help by reading more about these two.
