Guys,

I have a Samsung Galaxy i7500 that runs the Android Cupcake firmware. I would like to know on how I could upgrade to 2? Anyone already did that?

I have quite noticed that I do not get much replies on this forum when the post says anything about the Samsung Galaxy. Is this a less preferred Android device than the HTC and the new Motorola.

I think this forum is mostly about programming for the Android rather than discussing individual phones so the phone-specific questions getting answered relate more to what the posters here actually have - so perhaps the Samsung you have just isn't very popular for users of this forun, I wouldn't take that to mean it is less favored though...

Anyway, back to your question, Android 2.0 is generally available to all phones yet, and probably won't be for another month. You should check with Samsung and/or your service provider to see when or if the new version will be supported.

* Edit: Made the first sentence more understandable... *

Firmware updates happen over the air; you will be notified of updates available. Also, I have a G1 phone and it will NOT be supporting Android2.0; you need to check with your provider/OEM whether your phone supports it.
