Today I looked at the test results SCJD:
"assessor_1 Automatic failure. Your project does not execute in non-networked mode. In this mode, server and client run in the same JVM, and no network communication is allowed. Running in "alone" mode, after I chose a db file, the "Accept" button in the Welcome Dialog is disabled."

But my project has no screen with the button "accept"..
I made new tests on 4 computers and all executed the project perfectly.

This part to perform in a non-network is the "easy" as I could just miss it? without conditions ...
I made again tests on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS, and all run perfectly.

The tasks of the project says:
Non-Networked Mode The program must be able to work in a non-networked mode. In this mode, the database and GUI must run in the same VM and must perform no networking, must not use loopback networking, and must not involve the serialization of any objects when communicating between the GUI and database elements.

I did not use the network at any time in this mode, I did not use serialization, I did not use any of this ...

From non-network, I used a screen that takes directly records the database file and display them on a Table, without any service networks.

My mode is as follows:
non-network
view (Table) > LocalController> Facade> Data

with network
view> ServerController> ServerRemote> Facade> Data

Does anyone have any idea what may have happened?

Sorry to read you didn't pass.

Reading your post I think you should concentrate on:

It seems - while running in "alone" mode - the assessor was offered some kind of filechooser and was not able to select the local database file. Or he could not get to the main screen of your application after choosing the local db-file. Did you test this use-case throuroughly?

Exactly, my screen has a FileChooser and a Start button, initially the Start button is disabled, after choosing a file with the FileChooser, the Start button is enabled.
Really could be at this point and the Start button would not be being enabled, but I made a test case, and ran on windows XP, Ubuntu and Mac, and all performed correctly.
And citing a button "Accept", and my application has no button "Accept".
Thanks.

I was thinking, because I have tested now again four OS (Windows XP, Vista, Ubuntu, and Mac) and performed correctly, and they have mentioned the button "Accept" that does not exist in my project, will they corrected another project and put the note wrong for me?

Hello Roman, about your case, if your app does not have an "accept" button when setting the config, but the examiners saw the accept button, I suggest you email Sun confirming the one is indeed your app.

Honestly if it works for you, it should also work for them. Did your user guide mention the startup or config process? If so it could simply examiners didn't go through it properly. That is if they do read the user guide BEFORE running the app.

Yes, I put a mechanism to help with the implementation itself, is very simple, just select the file .db in FileChooser, and click the "Start application", there is no button "Accept" on my project.
I just sent an email pra sun reporting this, and also sent a picture attached to my screen that said they were in error to determine whether or not they are evaluating my project.
Thanks for the help.

That seems the appropriate way to go.

Good luck

Hi Roman,

I would say just keep sending them emails (to [email protected]), clearly explaining the problem you encounter and also don't forget to mention your sun id (and prometric id). That's the only advice I can give you. Just send your email every 2 business days until you have your answer.
Also you can contact the Sun Education Services where you purchased your voucher(s) and complain about the lack of service you are experiencing (while you paid a lot of money, so you are expecting a minimum of service).

Kind regards,
Roel

Hi All, I need to write the SCJP5 exam. I got the voucher, while trying to register from a Prometric center, the tool asks me for a MySUNID. Who will have this MySunId? and whom to contact for the same. Prometric center is saying Sun offical centres will only be able to give the MySunID, When I call Sun center they are saying prometric centers are the one can give that ID. Any who has an exact idea of who will be able to give the MySun ID/ should I generate my self?

Hi Durai,

2 remarks:
  • Don't hijack someone else's topic for your benefit. Open a topic yourself to explain your problem.
  • Don't cross-post between multiple forums and topics: I saw you posted 11 messages, ALL with the same message.

  • This entry will be very useful for you, certainly a must read if you want an answer to your question.

    Kind regards,
    Roel
