And one of professional suggested me to be aware of all the programming languages so i did my mini project(Govt project) in php and my main project i will do in JAVA.Now will that php project will help me or not?how will be the opportunities for me after i complete my engineering.

This would be more suitable in the Job Discussions instead of Java in General.
Moving.

There is no straight answer for this question. It is purely "depending" upon your "luck' and the "requirement" of the employer!

better your project yourself as a specific resource (Java or PHP) where you feel you are so sound! That would indeed help you more !

Good luck!

I want to know what should a java developer have to work for a company and on what basis does company recruit. Is there any specific field like(only web component developers or EJB developers) are recruited?

Nothing specifically. All what it matters how strong and good are you in Core Java until and unless there is special need of EJB like stuff. Be cool
