Hi, I want to call a standalone java thread running in a seperate jvm to be invoked from the program running in a weblogic ejb server. Please guide me how I can proceed with. Also please tell me as to what are the possible ways by which this can be achieved. Thanks a ton in advance

It's not possible to access threads running in a different JVM directly. You'll need to use some other mode of communication (sockets, web services, etc.)

Thanks a lot Dittmer. Could you please tell me if a method invocation is possible if I dont care about a particular thread, and just call the running main thread itself, but in a seperate JVM..?

To invoke a method you need a reference to an object or a class; that's not possible across JVMs (unless you're using RMI or some such technology).

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
