Hello, I am currently enrolled in an accredited state school, BS Computer Science program (Senior) I am 39 yrs old and currently work as an airline pilot. I am thinking about breaking out of aviation due to turmoil in the aviation industry like, low pay (for responsibility), crappy schedule that keeps you away from family for long streches and living in hotels is getting old. So my question is, can someone start a computer career (software engineering) at 40 that will give you a livable wage? Any suggestions about a possible path from here would be great. I also would be able to transfer over to the Math program with the same amount of classes left. Would a Math degree (Pure) be looked at more favorably than a CS degree? I currently am proficient with Python, Java
and semi-proficient with C++. Thanks in advance!
