While every technology evolves and changes ,the rate of change in Java is often overwhelming . The benefit is flexibility in development options but the downside is that there is always a new framework that has to be learned .
There is definitely a 'flavor of the day' feel when it comes to Java frameworks that hiring managers and recruiters want.
Is there any merit to the argument that development efforts are more producutive in relatively stable development environments like
.Net or PHP because developers in these environments don't spend as much time learning new frameworks?
