I was working in Java / J2ee using proprietary application server 2 years back and after that I have 1 yr of exp in jsps. But I am into Message broker now for the past 1.5 yrs. But would like to change my career back to Java. So I would like to do this cert (SCEA). I don't know from where I have to start. Can someone suggest me a good start for this certification. I have 6 yrs of exp in software development (4 yrs in java / j2ee).

In order to get momentum, I recommend you start with Head First design Patterns. You cover an important objective in the SCEA exam and more than that, I believe HF books provide the kick start that is required for a brain that is not willing to get back to reading. I am following this approach. I plan to read the HF JSP and Servlets next before I go into other topics that require more intense concentration.

Yeah good I can do that too. Does anyone has a road map to SCEA?

Do SCJP first, then start the syllabus for SCEA. With your experiance you need to grab comprehensive knowledge in Java Technology.
this is not by reading and finishing the Exam....it means to handle any sort of Real time Problem with in SDLC lifecycle.

an architech needs to fulfill peer-to-peer application status in front of Clients that may worth huge.

Cheers!
Prathap.
