with simple text editors you will know the mistakes you make from compilation and search for them and understand them and correct them ....
If you use IDE it will give the solution for you (it provides great time management but reduces your thinking)

Yes.Editplus must pay some time to study.if not it is equal notepad.

As far as I don't like to have pirate software installed in my computer and I am definitly not going to pay for something that have a free (in both senses) solution I choose Notepad++
