I have a tab panel with 2 tabs....

I have enclosed them with div tag

I have to get data from DB and populate the same data in the drop down boxes of both the tabs

Initially when this jsp is loaded the 1st tab is default to true and I am populating in the drop down of tab1...

For populating data I wrote a scriptlet ,and inside that I called the method for setting data in dropdown (set by an ArrayList)

It's as follows:

below the Select tag for Tab1...

Now I did not end the 'if' loop and went to Tab2's "Select" and below that I ended the if since I should populate the same data in tab2 also...

Is it because it's tab2's div tag and it's territory that's creating the problem?

What is a "tab panel"? There is no such native JSP construct.

Please be sure to ask Struts questions in the Struts forum. I have moved this post there for you.
