Hi,
Just wondering does 1, if opting for the RMI server as network server, need to implement the following:
(a) User specifics database location as "C:\\database.db" and port number 1099 and binds object to server this is ok.
(b) User specifics database location as "D:\\database.db" and port number 1099 and binds object to server and this should be ok.
Does (b) need to be implemented for this project, allowing different database locations on the same server but same ports on it or is it enough to allow the binding of 1 remote object for 1 database location on 1 allowed port number and if someone specifics the same port number, this throws ExportException.?
Thanks.

To keep this simple, this project just use 1 file per server per port. It doesn't "require" you to change file location or port in the middle of the app.

Cheers,
Thanks for your reply. Apologies, I got slightly confused yesterday between file location and applications on a server per port. Of course the file location is the server and this shouldn't be changed. Sorry about confusion.
