Hi guys,

Can you guys share your experience on using eclipse IDE for Swing application development? What are the free plugins available for UI designing? What are the free plugins providing NetBeans' Matisse GUI builder like GUI builders?

Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly, Matisse is available for Eclipse, although I haven't used it since Eclipse 3.3 (read: a long time ago).

Hi David,

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I also have tried out Matisse builder plugin for Eclipse sometimes back. Quick google search didn't help me this time. Maybe, project is not active.

Anyway, it seems that developing GUIs in Netbeans and service, dao, etc. in Eclipse will be fine. Having a Maven project will allow me to do developments in both IDEs seamlessly.

Thanks once again for your reply.
