Hi,

I read as

'A Servlet is equivalent to web resource except that it is dynamic. A filter on the other hand is not a resource that container serves.'

I am bit confused about above statement. Who serve the filter if not container. Any ideas, resources, links, sample code highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I suppose you don't know what "serve" means in the web context. It means to send a resource from the server to the client. The client doesn't use the filter, only the container does. So there is no need for the container to serve it.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
