Ok, I've googled quite a bit and maybe I'm just missing something, but here is my code:

here is the page that this is running on: http://www.newfazeindustries.com/guild/guildarmory/guildarmory/index.php
in IE it works good, but in FF the pop up div keeps "flashing" pops up real quick then hides again. don't know what the deal is.

here are the two functions which "show" and "hide" the div...

ok, so I've gotten the pop up's to work now, seems I didn't need that If/Else, e.clientX and Y work in ff too. Just had to increase the X and Y placement by 5 so that my mouse wasn't in the popup when it popped up, was causing it to call the onmouseout event.

ok for the placement of the gear items it goes like this, in coordination with the page and the table the images are in:
G: gear, X: the ones I want the effect for.

G          G
G          G
G          G
G          G
G          G
G          X
G          X
X   XXX  X

Ok for the gear images in placement X I want the pop up div to be shifted up as many pixels as it's .clientHeight in the Y direction (-).
I can't get it to work properly, but if I shift from one gear item to one of the X items real quick, it will jump up like it's supposed to, just not if I only mouseover it regularly.

Just wanted to know if anyone has ever had this problem.

Thanks,

Justin

It kind of works in IE but it seems like it's using the clientHeight of the div from it's previous contents... then when you hover again it's correctly drawn.

Can you really tell me that we aren't dealing with suspicious baked goods? And then there is this tiny ad:
