If you're tired of constantly logging into the CertManager Database to check if your results have been posted you might like to have a look an HTML scraper I've put together. The source is freely available via SourceForge - all you need is a subversion client.

I only coded it this morning so it's a bit rough and ready, but it does the job. For details check out the associated blog post. If you've any feedback please leave a comment there.

Regards,

Jonathan

Good work Jonathan , nice app and good running, I am seeing my previous results
Because I am in wait for the results , thinking of keeping it run always in 30 min interval

No worries - I'm glad you're finding it useful.

I'm thinking the best way to improve it would be to have it scrape all the results from the test history page, as opposed to having it just check for a specific test code. It would then fire a property change event when the number of results changed.

If I get some free-time over the weekend I'll put some binaries together and create a new version.

Right ,
  • all test history / multiple test-codes in property file
  • and probably an email notification when a new result added

Or you could just be a little patient

But to be honest I checked the status when I was on holiday, just on my last evening (and that was because I had to pay for internet access, otherwise it would also have been every evening at least once ). And the result showed up after exactly 4 weeks, being one of the lucky ones that didn't had to wait really long (lots of other stories on this forum of people having to wait 9-10 weeks). Anxiously waiting for your result is probably the hardest part of this certification

    Kind regards,
    Roel

    True

all test history / multiple test-codes in property file

I've implemented this change and checked it in if you want to take a look. I've also updated the screenshot.

    Jonathan,

Small (and stupid) remark: you will have to change "Percentage" to "Score", because for the SCJD (you can't know of course) it is just your score on 400 (not a percentage or you can of course divide the number by 4 and you get the percentage for SCJD)

    Kind regards,
    Roel

Not at all - I appreciate the feedback. I've now made the change and fixed a major flaw in the result finding regex. If you are using it please checkout this morning's changes as last night's commit failed to find assignment and retake test codes.

    Regards,

    Jonathan
