I am sending an array of dates formated as numbers to a java class. The array elements are as such:

1070516
1070618
1080126
etc.

Century, Two Digit Year, Two Digit Month, Two Digit Day. These come from an iSeries(AS400) data source.

Anyway I need a count of elements where the year and month match the year and month of a particular date. This is count of manufacturing days for a particular month/year.

Steve:

So, how would you go about parsing the data?

John.

So this is the first century?

Anyway, I'm sure you know how % and / work; just apply them using certain factors of 10 and you can retrieve numbers from your larger numbers.
