Hello All ,

We are doing migration of a java application from weblogic 8.1 to weblogic 10.1. The main task of application is to forward the request flow to middle ware (Tuxedo) in XML format which requires an JAVA/XML conversion .

A separate framework is tightly coupled with the application for the conversion of data (JAVA/XML) which inturn uses weblogic.jar's TypedFML32.java class to convert java to XML buffer format.

So while doing the deployment we have following files :

1. Ear file of the Java application
2. Jar file of the frame work which does JAVA/XML data transfer and uses weblogic.jar's TypedFML32.java class to convert java to XML buffer format.

While doing the impact analysis of migartion , we figured out that weblogic 10.1's weblogic.jar does not have TypedFML32.java class which is required for our framework's code to compile

Can we use weblogic 8.1's weblogic.jar (copying externally and providing a reference in the class path ) for the compilation of the framework's source code

will it cause any impact if we try to deploy the application in weblogic 10.1 ??

Thanks in advance

Most certainly yes. You might also run into a licensing problem, cross class method calls might no longer work, etc etc.

The class you are looking for should be here bea/modules/com.bea.core.jatmi_1.0.0.0.jar. Compile your code against this jar

Hi Kabir,
Cross check the "Release Notes" pdf ,it summuraises all the changes and dependencies to be met for migrating your application from 8.1 to 10.1.Few packages have been changes so some functionalities might not work properly.

I really appreciate your help . Could you please let me know whether Glassfish V 2.0 support's FML32.java or equivalent class ?? . whether it will be possible to migrate the application ( please refer the information posted in first blog ) to Glassfish V 2.0 without breaking the things .

Thanks in advance
