Does anyone know if it's possible to use Webphere Application Server Toolkit (AST) 6.1 with Webphere (WAS) 6.0 for deployment as an embedded server in AST? I would think that using a newer IDE wouldn't be an issue, but it seems to be. When I try to setup a run time server in AST 6.1 and point it to my WAS60 dir, it doesn't recognize it as a valid app server directory. No problems if I point to a WAS61 dir.

I need to setup a dev env using WAS 6.0, but would rather use AST 6.1 as it's nicer and 6.0 doesn't even let you import project preferences. FYI, I joined a new team where development was done earlier with RAD on WA60, but now they have migrated to AST for WAS61. My project is based on the older platform unfortunately and RAD is no longer available.

I'm fairly new to WAS coming from Weblogic. Are there WAS 6.0 plugins for Eclipse 3.1 or higher? It looks like AST is based on 3.0

thanks,
gb

George, I think it might help if you explained what "AST" means. I googled the term and got all kinds of irrelevant things but nothing which might be the thing you are asking about.
