As far as book goes, there is no better book than 'Head First Servlets and Jsp' by Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates and Bryan Basham(2nd edition).

I found a link .I think it will be useful to all .

http://www.sun.com/solutions/landing/industry/education/sai/getstarted.jsp
By using thisyou can get the your SAI Program Name and ID.

Howdy fellow ranchers,
I received mail from SAI,in which I was provided the SAI-Program name and SAI program id.To purchase the voucher I browsed to https://sailearningconnection.skillport.com.Then I clicked on the "SAI Certification Discount Vouchers" link on the left navigation panel. The link took me to http://saic.educationservicesgroup.com/(in a pop-up window).
Now to my amazement in the purchase form, in the field which says "What Sun Certification Exam will you be taking?",the drop down list has an exam named "212-083 Sun Certified Web Component Developer EE 5".There was no exam with the code 310-083.
Is it the same exam as 310-083 or something else.Should I buy it or the 210-083 exam is some old retired one.
Please help..

Hi,

There is no difference between the 212 and 310 exams, they are the same thing, the difference in the code is only to indicate that the exams have been given through SAI...the only difference is that because you have done the certification on a discounted rate, you wont get the label pin from SUN when you recieve you certificate...but I dont think that matters much , I just recieved my SCJP certificate yesterday which I attempted through SAI and it looks AWESOME who cares about some stupid label pin anyways ...

Just like Apporav and Raju I also could not find my country(Pakistan) in the list of countries so I mailed them at saivouchers@sun.com with my details and they sent me the country ID within a week... and yeah the Program ID is same for a country...
for Pakistan the ID is : tpekmvd
and for India it is : zpi0ncwu

I had just graduated when I heard of SAI so I emailed the sun team asking whether if I was eligible for the discount or not , they replied that if 6 months havent passed since your graduation then you are eligible ..for example : I had graduated in June 2009 therefore I was eligible up to December 2009 for the SAI discount...

My eligiblity time period was almost up so I purchased 4 vouchers in bulk...the problem was that I wasnt sure for what certifications I would use them, I emaild a SUN emplyee regaring this issue..he replied that it doesnt matter for what certification you have purchased the vouchers , you can use them for any SAI certification when registering your self at a prometric center

PayPal doesnt work in Pakistan , therefore I mailed SUN again regarding this issue and they sent me a form which I had to fill with my credit card info and purchasse order info and fax them... My credit card company keeps the credit cards blocked by default for online transactions in order to protect the card holders from scams and frauds therefore I called my credit card company and asked them to open up my credit card for online transactions for uptil 48 hours and then I mailed the employee at SAI to do the transaction before 48 hours..

After a few days I recieved an email from SAI with four voucher numbers and they were all valid uptill Dec 2010 ....

Well, thats how I purchased my SAI vouchers , hope my little story helps you guys for your purchases...Good luck to you all

Hello, Ali Murtaza Shaikh

....you wont get the label pin from SUN when you recieve you certificate....

What label pin do you mean?? Are you talking about the one written on the right-bottom corner of the certificate??? And how much time would it take to get a voucher from SAI( I mean after I complete all the formalities).
