compilation is very slow when using java 1.6 with maven

compilation is very slow when using java 1.6 with maven. Its fast when using java 1.5. I saw similar issue raised in other forums.. But still not get any solid solution. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is this a Windows OS? There's a known issue around this. It's actually a combination of Maven and Sun JDK issue. Maven generates a very long classpath which causes the compilation to go slow because of this Sun JDK bug.

Yes it is in Windows OS (Windows XP). Is there any work around?
