Hello,
I was under the impression that a SCRUM model is followed when you have all the people sit together in a room or at least same location while performing the tasks. Is there a new terminology or can the same concept be applied to a globally distributed team where the Plan It team resides in one corner while the development folks reside on another corner and the scrum master in a 3rd corner.

Thanks

Praful,
How about an electronic scrum board? At my local SPIN (software process improvement network) meeting, they showed an example where teams spanned continents. They had their daily Scrum meeting during the small part of the day that overlapped so everyone could attend (US and Europe). And another example that they handed it off to the Indian team which operated more independently.

Thanks Jeanne, currently we are meeting early AM for 15 mins and then go our own way performing tasks. I shall research a bit more on the electronic scrum board and the other suggestion.
