Hi,
I am redirecting to an error page in case of any 500 error. The error page has a button that when clicked should try to reload the page that we were trying to load and caused the error.
I am using JSF navigation to forward to the pages on action.
How do I find out which page was it, once I have reached the error page so that I can try reloading the page on the button click.
Thanks
D

Debolina,

When you are redirecting to error page, concatinate the URL with a query string and pass the Current page name.
In the error page retrieve the page name and reload it when a button is clicked.

I am setting the error page in web.xml.

So concatenating the page name is not an option.
Any other ideas about how to I get the page name where it was suppose to go but landed up in the error page.
Thanks,
D

Then you can store the page name in session variable when the every page loads for a same attribute name, so that when the control is in error page it can retrieve the current page where the error got occurred.
this is one of the solution, you can find many solutions to fix this issue.
