adding cell values in a dynamically added row  RSS feed

I have a row in my table like this ...




On selecting "AND" or "OR" i need to add a row of the same kind as shown above...


My JS Function is :--->




I want to put a select tag into textnose 5 to replicate another row of the same kind and also

the alerts ,



The output are undefined... what could be the changes? thanks!

In your code you have:

textnode2='RuleSet1';
textnode3='Rule1';

which will make them Strings. So why are you calling a value property (textnode2.value) ?

Also, while in general I think it is admirable that folks want to learn the nuts and bolts of things, in the case of JavaScript I think using a library is the best approach. For example, in JQuery you could simply do this to add a row to a table...



Doesn't get much simpler than that.
