Hi,

I have this report to write on "User Stories for Agile Requirements". Could you please recommend me some good books, articles, white papers that you might think that will be useful in writing this report...

I'm a B.Sc Software Engineering student currently in the final year...

I have found this book called "User Stories Applied: For Agile Software development". This alone isn't good enough so could you guys please refer some articles that might be of help...

Thanks.

I'd advice you to look at articles on the topic at xprogramming.com, especially the one called "Card, Conversation, Confirmation".

A simple google search should bring up plenty of information. You could also see if you find something interesting at http://delicious.com/ipreuss/planning or in the online archive of the Agile Alliance.

What are you missing from the book?

That book I mentioned has more on user stories for development and testing and stuff. Not much on using of user stories when gathering requirements. And thanks for the links that you have mentioned. I'll go through them and see what I can gather from them.

More things you might want to look at:

- Mike Cohn's other book, I think it's called "Agile Estimation and Planning"
- the book "Planning Extreme Programming"
- the User Story Mapping technique
- the description of a project lifecycle at extremeprogramming.org
