Hi all,
I am trying to disable textarea and a list of select boxes in my application by setting disabled attribute of textarea and select boxes to true.This works fine in Internet Explorer browser.But,I am encountering some problems while using Netsacpe browser.The fields do not get disabled at all.What may be the problem?Please provide a solution to this problem.

What version of Netscape are you using? NS 4.7 doesn't support disabling fields. NS 6 and above support this feature.

Hi,
Sorry for the earlier blank reply.I am developing a Struts-based application and the problem lies in disabling Struts components such as <html:textarea> and <html:select> in Netscape 4.7.Is there any workaround for this problem in Netscape 4.7?Please reply ASAP.Thanx in advance.

hope this shud work
pls try this out with different verions of IE and Netscape...also u cud even show these fields in a different colour (probably grey) to indicate to the user that they are disabled.
