I have written a MEssage Driven Bean to act as a Listener to the Queue .

This works fine gets fired upon whenever any message arrives to the Queue .

Is this sufficient ?? Or do i need to still write a Message Consumer to recieve the mEssages from the Queue .

What i mean to ask is what is the difference between a Message Listener and a Message Consumer .

PLease share your ideas .

Yes, a MessageListener is sufficient. A MessageConsumer can do more - such as synchronous operations. You'd know you needed it because MessageListener wouldn't meet your needs. If you don't have a problem, you are good with MessageListener.
